Inlandsinnovation takes SEK 25m stake in Loxysoft
Inlandsinnovation has invested SEK 25m for a 20% stake in Sweden’s Loxysoft Group, which was formed as a result of Verdane Capital and Via Venture Partners’ recent sale of Dolphin Software.
Peter Gullander, director at Inlandsinnovation said the investment by the Swedish government VC was to strengthen Loxysoft's balance sheet to help finance the acquisition of Dolphin, as part of a financing package which also included debt provided by Swedbank.
Following the deal, Loxysoft plans to expand its operations and consolidate its position in the Nordic contact centre industry.
Inlandsinnovation's 20% stake in the business puts it on equal footing with Loxysoft's four founders, who each own a fifth.
With this deal, the VC completed its third investment this September.
Within its remit of backing companies based in northern Sweden, this month has seen Inlandsinnovation invest in children's entertainment company Ruta Ett, and photography drone business SmartPlanes.
Company
Swedish-Norwegian business Loxysoft was formed this week as a merger between Loxysoft, Loxytel and Dolphin Software.
Headquartered in Östersund, Sweden, the company has offices in three additional Swedish cities and in Oslo, where Dolphin was based.
Following the merger, Loxysoft will have revenues of around SEK 140m and approximately 100 employees. Its headquarters will remain in Östersund.
