Altor's Realia bolts on Valedo-backed Corbel
Altor-backed property management services business Realia Group has acquired Corbel, a Finnish real estate services company owned by Swedish GP Valedo.
The bolt-on sees Realia wholly acquire the operations of Corbel and assume the business within Realia's group structure. The transaction was financed by a debt package arranged by Nordea and SEB, Altor told unquote".
Realia's acquisition will provide an exit for Valedo Partners Fond I, the 2006-vintage SEK 1bn vehicle that bought Corbel in 2011, and marks the first bolt-on for Realia since Altor took control of the company earlier in 2016.
Previous funding
In July 2011, Valedo backed the SBO of Corbel from Finnish GP Sentica Partners – management also re-invested.
Under Valedo's ownership, Corbel completed six add-on acquisitions, expanding its services from strictly business-to-business to include business-to-consumer.
Company
Headquartered in Vantaa, Corbel is a provider of business-to-business and business-to-consumer real estate management services in Finland.
The company was founded in 2008 and employs a staff of 190, having grown from 120 at the time of Valedo's acquisition. Between 2011-2016, Corbel's revenue increased from €11m to €17m.
