Accent Equity-backed Inteno bolts on Genexis
Accent Equity portfolio company Inteno Group, a provider of gateway platforms for broadband operators, has acquired Genexis, a Dutch supplier of fibre-to-the-home equipment.
Inteno Broadband Technology, the gateway division of the Stockholm-headquartered wider Inteno group, has bought Genexis and its subsidiaries based in the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden.
Gerlas van den Hoven, current CEO of Genexis, will stay on with the business and take over the full responsibility for the gateway company, while Conny Franzén will continue as CEO of Inteno, focusing on the overall group strategy and potential add-on acquisitions.
The companies will continue to operate independently and keep their brands' names for the time being. Following the merger, the combined group expects to generate revenues of €60m.
Accent acquired Inteno from Swedish corporate group Kamic in April 2016. The GP deployed capital from its SEK 3.8bn Accent Equity 2012 fund to finance the transaction.
