Project A, Creandum add $30m to funding round for Voi
VC firms Project A and Creandum have joined e-scooter business Voi Technology's existing investors to invest $30m in the business, just three months after its $50m series-A.
Investors from the previous round, Vostok New Ventures, Balderton Capital, LocalGlobe and Raine Ventures, also took part in the latest financing.
Seven months after launch, the company has 400,000 riders and has opened in 13 European cities so far. It will launch in an additional two cities, Oslo and Helsinki, and has further launches planned for March.
Project A investment manager Andy Helbig co-authored a blog post outlining the rationale for the VC's investment in Voi, highlighting its execution speed, co-operation with local governments, strong team with former Uber, Bird and Spotify employees, and speed of in-house development.
