
AIFI announces new board
Italian private equity and venture capital association AIFI has announced its new governing board.
According to the AIFI statute, board members can sit for two consecutive three-year terms.
Giuseppe Campanella from Futura Invest, Marco De Benedetti from Carlyle, Raffaele de Courten from Alto Partners, Walter Ricciotti from Quadrivio and Cinven's Roberto Italia re-joined the board.
Massimo Abbagnale from SICI, which held a first-close for a fund targeting Tuscan SMEs last week, also reclaimed his seat.
New members of the board include Fabio Borsoi from IMI Fondi Chiusi; Fondo Italiano chief executive Gabriele Cappellini; Francesco de Giglio from Advent International; and Argos Soditic's Jean-Pierre Di Benedetto.
Paolo Gambarini from Wise, Innogest's Claudio Giuliano, Alessandro Grimaldi from Clessidra and Fondo Strategico Italiano's Alessandro Mulas complete the new board.
Innocenzo Cipolletta was recently appointed president of AIFI, taking over from Giampio Bracchi.
