
Avindia Capital launches energy fund
Spanish private equity firm Avindia Capital has announced the launch of its first fund, Avindia Energy I.
The venture capital fund aims to invest in the European energy sector, more specifically in cogeneration, wind power and photovoltaic power.
The fund has a target of €4m and Avindia Capital plans to announce its final close on May 31. Inversis and Tressis are acting as placement agents. The fund charges a management fee of 2% and carry of 30%.

Avindia Energy I targets small and medium-sized investors.
Investments
With a minimum ticket of €25,000 and a maximum investment period of 7 years. The fund offers an annual income of 9% during the management period and aims for overall annualised returns, including divestments, of around 16%.
People
Emilio Giner, Luis Gamon, Javier Saenz, Jose Javier Azqueta and Roberto Giner, are part of the fund's management team. Ignacio Gonzalez, Juan Piquer, Eduardo Ollier, Javier Grau and Guillermo Ibeas are in the advisory board, while Sandra Guzman is responsible for investor services.
