
Caixa participates in €3m round for Gigas
Caixa Capital Risc has committed capital to the €3m funding round for technology infrastructure and cloud hosting service provider Gigas.
The company's existing investors, Cabiedes & Partners and Bonsai Venture Capital, and the firm's management team also participated in the round.
The fresh capital will fund consolidation of the company's infrastructure, the creation of new jobs and expansion into Latin America.
Previous funding
In 2011, Cabiedes and Bonsai took part in a funding round to support the launch of the firm.
Company
Founded in 2011 and based in Madrid, Gigas offers cloud hosting solutions. The firm has more than 800 clients, both in Spain and abroad, and in excess of 1,300 virtual servers. Each client has an average turnover of €300 per month.
Gigas also has an office in London and has 32 employees.
