
Greylock Partners backs Social Point
US venture capital investor Greylock Partners has reportedly injected $2.9m into Spanish online games producer Social Point.
This latest capital injection takes total funds raised by the firm to €11m.
Previous funding
In July 2012, Idinvest led a €6m round for Social Point, alongside BBVA and Nauta Capital. A year earlier, Nauta injected €2.4m into the firm in a series-A funding round.
Company
Founded in 2008 and based in Barcelona, Social Point produces social games that are monetised through Facebook. The company is reported to have reached a turnover in excess of €16m in 2012, up from €3.3m the year before.
