
Accel Partners leads $9m series-B for PackLink
Accel Partners has led a $9m series-B round for PackLink, a Madrid-based online aggregator of parcel and courier services.
The funding will enable PackLink to expand its operations into Italy and Mexico with additional international expansion to follow. It will also allow the company to add an e-commerce-focused business platform to its existing consumer offering.
Existing backer Active Venture Partners, which invested €1.5m from its Amerigo Innvierte Spain Ventures fund in April last year, also took part in the round.
Company
Founded in 2012 and based in Madrid, PackLink allows users to compare and purchase parcel and courier services. The company has partnerships with 20 providers worldwide.
PackLink currently has operations in Spain, Germany, France and Poland.
People
Ben Askew-Renaut is co-founder and CEO of PackLink. Michiel Kotting, a partner at Accel, will take a seat on the board. Ricard Söderberg is a founding partner of Active Venture.
