Innogest leads €3m round for Supermercato24
Venture capital firm Innogest has led a €3m funding round for Italian online shopping platform Supermercato24, alongside existing investor 360 Capital Partners.
As part of the deal, the company nominated Federico Sargenti as a new CEO. Prior to the role, Sargenti worked as head of e-commerce at Amazon in Italy and Spain, focusing on the grocery, beauty and healthcare sectors.
Moreover, Innogest partner Stefano Molino and 360 Capital general partner Cesare Maifredi will join the company's management team, alongside Bain & Company Italy partner Andrea Petronio.
According to a statement, the company aims to use the fresh capital to boost its presence across the Italian market through the expansion of its products offering.
Previous funding
In February 2015, 360 Capital led a $360,000 seed round for the business.

Headquartered in Verona, Supermercato24 develops an online platform focused on groceries delivery, which allows clients to choose the grocery chain and order products online. The business operates in 300 cities across Italy and claims 250,000 subscribers.
Founded in 2014, the company posted €750,000 in revenues in 2015 and expects to generate a turnover of €5m in 2016.
