Style Capital buys Italian fashion house Forte Forte
Italian fashion-focused private equity house Style Capital has acquired clothing and accessories manufacturer Forte Forte.
A source confirmed to unquote" that the GP acquired a majority stake in the business from the Forte family. Italian-language publication Milano Finanza valued the deal at €10m.
The company aims to use the capital injection to expand internationally and open several single-brand stores across Europe, as well as expand its product offering.
Style Capital currently manages two vehicles: DGPA Capital, which is in its divestment phase, and Style Capital Fund, which has a €120m target.
Prior to acquiring Forte Forte, Style Capital – formerly known as DGPA – acquired a 75% stake in Golden Goose, a producer of clothing, shoes and accessories, alongside Riello Investimenti in March 2013. More recently, the GP sold its stake to Ergon Capital Partners in May 2015.

Established in 2002 and based in Vicenza, Forte Forte produces women's clothing. According to a statement, the company generated turnover of €15m in 2016, with exports accounting for 70% of its production, mainly to France, the US and Japan.
