Summit invests in DentalPro
Summit Partners has acquired a majority stake in Italian dental clinic network DentalPro.
The growth equity will be used to expand the company's presence in the Italian dental care market.
Existing investor VAM Investments has reinvested as part of the transaction, alongside the CEO and founder of DentalPro Michel Cohen.
Company
Established in 2010, DentalPro operates 30 full-service dental clinics throughout Italy, which are predominantly located in shopping centres. Each clinic offers general dentistry services as well as implants, prosthesis and orthodontics.
The company partners with local dentists and provides them with practice management support and training. The network comprises 200 dentists.
DentalPro is headquartered in Milan.
People
Michel Cohen is CEO and founder of DentalPro. Thomas Tarnowski is a principal of Summit and Scott Collins is managing director. Marco Piana is co-founder of VAM Investments and will remain on DentalPro's board following the deal.
