LDC appoints Chris Coulton as portfolio director
LDC has appointed ex-Deloitte restructuring services director Chris Coulton as its new portfolio director.
The appointment is aimed at strengthening support to management teams within LDC. Based between London and Nottingham, Coulton will provide support for investments across the UK on a strategic and operational level.
Coulton joins after 15 years at Deloitte in the restructuring services team. During his time there he specialised in assisting mid-market private-equity-backed businesses through financial and operational transformation. He advised LDC on several of its portfolio businesses as part of his role.
Coulton has notable experience in the manufacturing, energy, retail, consumer and support services sectors.
LDC's London team currently counts 13 members, according to LDC's website. The firm has pledged to invest £1.2bn of equity in UK-based growth businesses over the next three years, following up from the £350m of equity invested in 14 businesses in 2015.
