
Debevoise names two new partners

Law firm Debevoise & Plimpton has promoted London-based Sally Gibson and Richard Lawton to partners.
Gibson is a member of the investment management group, focusing on private investment funds, including buyout, real estate, mezzanine and secondaries. Her past work includes advising clients to navigate the regulatory framework around private equity, as well as advising on the restructuring of English investment managers and investment advisers.
Recent funds Gibson has advised on include Deutsche Bank Private Equity's Secondary Opportunities Fund III.
Lawton is a member of the international dispute resolutions group, specialising in complex litigation across the full spectrum of industries and jurisdictions. His experience includes working for clients in large-scale corporate and M&A disputes, shareholder and joint venture disputes. He also specialises in litigation and investigations borne out of high-profile corporate collapses and restructurings.
