Oxford Capital has led a $5m funding round for Spain- and UK-based software business Abiquo.
Oxford Capital will join existing investors Balderton Capital and Nauta Capital as one of the major Abiquo backers following the investment. The fresh capital will enable Abiquo to accelerate the commercial roll-out of its technology, generate global sales and increase worldwide marketing activity.
Abiquo was previously backed by Balderton and several other investors in November 2010. Nauta also invested in the business in February of the same year. Abiquo was introduced to Oxford Capital by Nauta's Carles Ferrer, who led the series-A investment in the business.
