
Appear Here raises £1m from VC consortium
Howzat Partners, MMC Ventures, Forward Investment Partners, Playfair Capital, Ballpark Ventures and Miroma Ventures have backed online platform for short-term retail-space letting firm Appear Here with £1m.
Real estate investment firm Meyer Bergman and entrepreneur Marc Hazan also invested alongside the venture capital consortium. Appear Here will use the funding to widen its operational focus across the UK and expand its technology team.

Appear Here is an online booking platform for short-term retail spaces for property companies such as British Land, Legal & General and Capital & Regional. The company works with clients including Google, Microsoft, American Apparel and Diageo.
The firm, which was founded in 2012, currently offers its online market space to around 3,000 brands and retailers, with around 250 spaces across the UK. Appear Here's website officially launched in February 2013.
