Oxford Capital leads $5m round for Outplay
Oxford Capital has led a $5m round for Dundee-based Outplay Entertainment, a developer of computer games for mobile operating systems.
The capital will enable Outplay to add to its team and to develop new titles.
Existing backers Pentech Ventures and Scottish Investment Bank also took part in the round.
Oxford Capital stated it had been actively seeking investment opportunities in the mobile gaming segment. It was attracted to Outplay by the company's management team and by the commercial success of its existing games.
The VC's contribution to the round was drawn from the Oxford Gateway Portfolio fund.
Earlier this month, Oxford Capital led a £4.75m investment in Intent HQ, a London-based provider of social data analysis for online marketing and advertising purposes.
