Palamon’s QualitySolicitors acquires Simplify
Palamon Capital Partners has supported QualitySolicitors’ purchase of The Simplify Group, a newly branded legal group.
The investment is the first to be made from Palamon's Auxiliary Partnership 2013 fund, which closed in September last year.
The transaction is part of Palamon's strategy to build a large UK legal provider, following changes in the UK legal market. Since then, several private equity firms have invested in the space as legal services become easier to access for consumers, including NorthEdge's recent investment in Roberts Jackson.
Palamon invested in QualitySolicitors in 2011 in a deal worth more than £10m, according to unquote" data. Since then, Palamon has provided additional funding to support the company's research and development activities, as well as expand its network of new law firms.
