
LDC takes minority stake in Giacom
LDC has backed the management buyout of Giacom World Networks, a cloud-based IT and communications service, for a significant minority stake.
Following the deal, LDC will aim to support Giacom's growth by investing in its platform, integrating additional cloud products and expanding its service provider network.
Company
Established in 1999, Giacom focuses on the micro-SME market. It currently counts 3,500 IT consultants, services and resellers through its MessageStream platform.
The company, based in Hessle, East Yorkshire, is one of eight Microsoft 2-Tier cloud service partners in the UK, enabling it to offer Microsoft products including Office 365 and Azure to service providers.
