BGF injects £10m into RiverRidge
Business Growth Fund has invested ТЃ10m in Northern Ireland-based waste management and recycling company RiverRidge Recycling.
The fresh capital will enable the company to invest in its existing acquisitive growth strategy, as well as develop its treatment and operations facilities.
Jim Meredith, chairperson of hazardous waste management business Augean, has also taken part in the deal and will take on the role of non-executive director at RiverRidge.
In addition to BGF's funding, RiverRidge has also received a funding package from the Bank of Ireland to support its growth.
The transaction marks BGF's second investment in Northern Ireland, with the firm having backed house builder Braidwater in November last year.
Company
Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Garvagh, County Derry, RiverRidge is a waste management and recycling company. It has a headcount of 200 and sites in Belfast, Coleraine, Derry-Londonderry and Portadown.
