Oxford joins Amadeus in Linkdex round
Oxford Capital has led a funding round for online marketing platform provider Linkdex, with participation from existing backer Amadeus Capital.
The fresh capital will support the commercial roll-out of Linkdex's platform, improve global sales and boost worldwide marketing.
Amadeus first backed the firm in 2009 via a €650,000 capital commitment from its Amadeus Seed Fund and Amadeus III vehicles. At the time of the firm's first institutional funding round, Linkdex employed 12 staff across offices in London and San Francisco.
Company
Founded in 2008 and based in London, Linkdex is a software-as-a-service platform for search engine optimisation (SEO), PR, social media, content marketing and business intelligence. The company initially focused on SEO but expanded its product to include online marketing, social media and public relations.
Linkdex clients purchase annual licenses for the software and pay monthly charges according to usage. Users are able to quantify the value of online content and to identify influential authors, publishers and websites in a particular sector.
The company has offices in London and New York and employs fewer than 50 staff.
People
Martyn Holman was promoted to investment director at Oxford Capital in February this year and led the deal. He joined the firm from Google in 2013.
