UK - EV leads £920,000 Xeros investment
Enterprise Ventures (EV) has led a £920,000 funding round for cleaning technology company Xeros Limited, alongside South Yorkshire Investment Fund, IP Venture Fund and business angels.
Xeros is a spin-out technology company from the University of Leeds that has developed a virtually waterless laundry system, reducing the cost and environmental impact of clothes cleaning. The patented process uses reusable plastic beads alongside detergents to absorb and remove dirt. The company, which was founded in 2006, has just signed a deal with GreenEarth Cleaning to sell the technology across North America. Xeros plans to re-locate from Leeds to South Yorkshire.
