Aztec Group appoints new COO

Fund administrator Aztec Group has hired former State Street director John Gavey as its new chief operating officer (COO).
In his new role at Aztec, Gavey will focus predominantly on high-level strategic and operational responsibilities. His predecessor, Aztec co-founder Carol Wilson, retired earlier this year.
Gavey joins Aztec following a four-year stint as director at London-based fund administrator and advisory firm State Street, where he led the firm's European private equity and real estate fund accounting teams.
Prior to State Street, Gavey held the role of associate director at Mourant International Finance Administration where he focused on the firm's Jersey private equity department and managed its fund accounting teams. Gavey started his career at KPMG.
