Eight Roads Ventures hires new partner

VC firm Eight Roads Ventures has hired Michael Treskow as a partner in its London office, while promoting two team members internally.
Treskow has joined the firm with immediate effect from Accel, where he worked on investments including GoCardless, Qubit and WorldRemit. He also spent time at Warburg Pincus in San Francisco earlier in his career. At Eight Roads, he will continue to focus on fintech, enterprise software and mobile businesses.
In addition to Treskow's hire, Eight Roads has also promoted Vytautas Balsys to vice-president and Asheque Shams to associate in its London office. The VC had already appointed Michael Stephanblome as a venture partner and Lucile Cornet as a senior associate in its UK base back in October last year.
Eight Roads rebranded from Fidelity Growth Partners Europe in 2015. It recently led a $10m series-A for Swedish sales outsourcing startup Universal Avenue in July.
