Electranova Capital completes first two deals
Electranova Capital, EDF's cleantech investment fund, has completed investments in French electricity management company Actility and Norwegian wind power business Seatower.
Electranova Capital was launched by EDF in partnership with Idinvest Partners in May 2012, supported by Allianz, as EDF's designated cleantech start-up investment unit. The fund's minimum investment capacity is €60m.
Actility uses a communication platform to enable remote control of electrical appliances to increase the effective use of electricity during peak hours and decrease it otherwise. The company is led by CEO and founder Olivier Hersent.
Seatower specialises in base foundations for offshore wind power in deep water.
