EQT closes mid-market credit fund on €530m
EQT has held a final close on €530m for its mid-market direct lending vehicle EQT Mid-Market Credit Fund.
The fund exceeded its €500m target and will form part of an EQT credit strategy that encompasses senior debt, direct lending and credit opportunities through a total of four funds - including the mid-market platform.
The GP held a first close for Mid-Market Credit – its maiden direct lending fund – in the beginning of Q2 2015 and the vehicle was around 30% committed at the time of the final closing.
EQT's mid-market credit vehicle will provide flexible debt on a long-term basis to European medium-sized enterprises and will be sector-agnostic. The financing will be available to sponsor-backed companies and privately owned businesses.
LPs in the vehicle include a geographically diverse mix of pension funds, insurance companies and family offices, among others.
