TA Associates invests in Onlineprinters
TA Associates has backed German printing business Onlineprinters.
TA Associates will be the first institutional investor holding shares in Onlineprinters following the investment. The company, which operates under the DieDruckerei brand, plans to grow its business across Europe and build on the tenfold increase in revenues it has enjoyed over the last eight years.
Onlineprinters estimates that the European printing market is worth €88bn, of which €15bn falls into the business's remit.
The deal was sourced on a proprietary basis, although the company had employed Altium to advise on the transaction. The GP had been following and building a relationship with the company for some time prior to investing.
It is likely that TA will implement a similar strategy for Onlineprinters as it has for its Paris-based portfolio company Fotolia Holdings, an image platform which it acquired in 2009, sources told unquote".
