HTGF invests in ImmerSight
High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg (MBG BW) have invested in virtual reality technology start-up Immersight.
The fresh funding will be used to establish ImmerSight and its Roomglasses technology in the bathroom sales market. The seed round is understood to total at least €500,000.
HTGF usually invests €500,000 at the seed stage and up to €1.5m in follow-on funding rounds. It is investing from its second fund, a €304m vehicle that held a final close in December 2012.
MBG BW invests between €25,000-2.5m in seed, growth-stage and expansion funding rounds. It is backed by the Bürgschaftsbank Baden-Württemberg and the German federal government.
HTGF has previously invested in the virtual reality sector. Only last month, bitstars received approximately €500,000 from the investor to make new hires and grow its sales and marketing team.
Company
Founded in 2012 at the University of Ulm, Immersight's Roomglasses enable users to see what a finished bathroom will look like while still in the planning phase. The company first sold its product in 2013 and has been used in particular by bathroom sales personnel. Immersight currently has a team of six.
