Frog Capital backs McMakler's €8.5m round
New investor Frog Capital has joined existing backers in a €8.5m series-A for German real estate service McMakler.
Piton Capital, Mutschler Ventures and Cavalry Ventures also backed the round.
With the fresh capital, the startup aims to further its efforts on the real estate sell-side. It also plans to improve the company's website and increase marketing efforts.
London-based Frog Capital focuses on the IT, digital media and resource efficiency sectors. The investor held the first and final close for its second fund, Frog Capital II, on €90m in May this year. McMakler is the vehicle's third portfolio company.
Previous funding
In August 2015, Piton Capital, along with Lakestar and Heilemann Ventures, provided a round of seed funding to McMakler. Mutschler and Apoletto also participated in the round.
Company
McMakler is a provider of letting and selling real estate services, using a fee model with fixed prices. It combines traditional real estate advisory services with web-based technology. The business is based in Berlin and was founded in June 2015.
