Evo backs seed round for Dacs
Amsterdam-based VC Evo Venture Partners has invested an undisclosed amount in German digital data transfer startup Dacs Laboratories.
Dacs hopes to benefit from Evo's technology know-how and receive help with its market entry strategy.
Venture capital firm Evo was founded last year, with offices in Amsterdam, San Francisco and Singapore. The investor focuses on software-based infrastructures, specifically in the areas of backup, security, storage, virtualisation, networking and the cloud.
Its other European investment so far was in January 2016, when it backed the $4.5m funding round for Amsterdam-based Wercker, a continuous code delivery software for developers, which was led by Inkef Capital.
Company
Founded in April 2014 and based in Erkrath, Dacs focuses on scalable application deployment technologies. The company addresses industries such as high-performance computing centres, large-scale data centres and video game publishing, among others.
