Delivery Hero raises $350m investment
Online food delivery platform Delivery Hero has raised $350m in a series-G round from existing investors Insight Venture Partners and Kite Ventures, together with new investor Vostok Nafta.
The new funding round brings total investments in the company to $635m. The fresh capital will be used to expand the platform's international operations, in particular in Germany and the UK. The company stated its aim to become market leader in the countries in which it operates.
Vostok Nafta, a Russian investment company listed on the Nasdaq Nordic exchange in Sweden, typically focuses on investments in Russia and countries from the former Soviet Union.
The investment comes only two weeks after Delivery Hero announced its acquisition of former competitor pizza.de for a reported €290m. Together, the two companies are said to be worth in the region of €1bn but will continue to operate as independent brands.
