
EQT-backed Munksjö acquires ArjoWiggins divisions
EQT’s portfolio company Munksjö AB is set to acquire the decor, abrasives, thin paper and fine arts businesses of ArjoWiggins for €95m.
ArjoWiggins is based in France and is a manufacturer of creative and technical paper and has operations in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia. The total sales for the acquired businesses amount to €220m.
EQT acquired Jönköping-based Munksjö AB in 2004. The company is a producer of decor and specialty paper. Following the acquisition, the combined group's net sales would amount to approximately €600m and the number of employees would be around 1,750.
