Quadrivio launches €300m buyout fund
Quadrivio is targeting €300m for its third private equity vehicle, dedicated to Italian small and medium enterprises.
The fund's predecessor, Quadrivio Q2, was launched in 2008. It held its first and final close in November 2010, meeting its target of €100m.
In April last year, the GP launched its second venture vehicle, a €100m fund focused on local technology companies. Quadrivio simultaneously announced the appointment of Elizabeth Marie Robinson as investment director in the venture capital division.
Investments
Quadrivio Q3 will focus on businesses with a turnover of between €30–100m, which have potential for international expansion.
The GP's second vehicle recently made its ninth investment via the secondary buyout of Pantex International, a producer of personal hygiene products, from Vision Capital. Other investments from the fund include shoe retailer Pitarello and vegetable seeds distributor Suba Seeds.
Investors
The vehicle has already raised contributions from international and domestic LPs.
