Mercia moves into new Leeds office
Mercia Fund Managers has opened a new office in Leeds to support its expansion in the region.
The firm has moved into larger offices in the city as part of its plans to increase its activity in the region. It is also focusing on ramping up activity in Sheffield, Manchester, Edinburgh, Preston, Liverpool, Birmingham and Warwickshire.
In February, Mercia won two contracts to manage two of the British Business Bank's Northern Powerhouse Investment Funds, including a £57.5m equity fund and a £51m debt fund.
Mercia formerly operated under the Enterprise Ventures and Mercia Fund Managers brands, but was rebranded under one name in October. The firm recently invested £1.8m as part of a £5m series-A funding round for Birmingham-based eyecare diagnostics company Aston EyeTech.
