Mayfair's Tour Partner in Trans Nordic Tours bolt-on
Backed by Mayfair Equity Partners, Tour Partner Group has acquired Scandinavian tour operator Trans Nordic Tours.
Following the acquisition, the merged group expects to generate €100m in revenues and employ 200 people. According to a statement, the deal is the first strategic initiative taken following the recent appointment of Tour Partner's new CEO, Paul Maine.
Previous funding
Initially, Mayfair backed the buyout of Hotels & More from Austrian business Travel Partner in October 2015. Subsequently, the GP formed the group by merging the business with two tourism companies, Irish business Welcome Tours and US-based Authentic Vacation.
Company
Established in 1995 and based in Copenhagen, Trans Nordic Tours is an inbound tour operator focusing on the Nordic region, including Russia, the three Baltic republics, Scandinavian countries, Finland, Iceland and Greenland.
According to a statement, the company generated a DKK 27.4m turnover in 2016, marking a 47% increase from the previous financial year. It currently employs 41 people.
