Notion Capital leads $7m series-A for Triptease
Notion Capital and Episode 1 have led a $7m series-A funding round for London-based hotel price comparison software developer Triptease.
Both venture firms were existing investors in Triptease before the series-A, having joined in a $2m seed round in February 2015.
The investment will help roll out the company's products to more customers.
Company
Triptease is a London-based developer of software-as-a-service products to increase hotels' direct sales to guests.
The company's product portfolio includes a price-check widget that hotels can install on their webpage to show room prices available through booking websites, allowing the customer to compare against the price offered directly on the hotel's own site.
Triptease's price-check widget and other offerings are an attempt to allow hotels to cut out intermediaries when customers book and offer an identical price without relinquishing a cut to a booking site.
