UK - Mercia et al. invest £400,000 into Allinea Software

Warwick-based Allinea is a spin-out from Concurrent Thinking, which itself had been backed by Mercia and Midven.

Allinea specialises in developing software tools designed to ensure that applications can run problem-free on parallel computing systems. Clients include Airbus Industrie, CGGVeritas, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, the Met office, and a large number of universities and research institutions worldwide.

The new funding will be used to provide Allinea with sufficient working capital to fully establish its independence and to continue building on attracting major contracts from large corporate clients.
