Alven and 360 Capital Partners inject €1.3m into Infinit
Alven Capital and 360 Capital Partners have invested €1.3m in Paris-based Infinit, an online peer-to-peer file transfer company.
Infinit will use the capital to launch full Mac and Windows versions of its service, a beta version of which was released six months ago.
Earlier this month Alven led a $2m investment in Paris-based online fashion community Wheretoget, with angel investors also taking part in the round. 360 was also active in the French capital in May, joining a $4.5m round for software-as-a-service company TVTY.
File management services are increasingly attracting VC attention; another European file management company, Zurich-based Tresorit, recently raised $3m in a series-A round led by existing backer Euroventures.
Company
Founded in 2012, Infinit is an online file transfer company that employs eight people. The company took part in the Paris-based Le Camping accelerator programme in 2012 and is part of New York incubator programme Techstars.
Due to its unlimited file sharing capabilities, Infinit has seen a high uptake from recreational and professional design, audiovisual and photography users. The peer-to-peer service is designed to speed up the file sharing process by bypassing the cloud storage system relied on by rival products.
People
Julien Quintard is president and co-founder of Infinit and Baptiste Fradin is its co-founder and COO. Guillaume Aubin and Charles Letourneur are managing partners at Alven. François Tison is a general partner at 360.
