Lime Rock Partners II holds final close on $320m
Lime Rock Partners has announced the final close of Lime Rock Partners II LP, its second private equity fund, on $320m. The fund has offices in the major energy centres of North America and Western Europe, Westport, Houston and Calgary in the US and Aberdeen in the UK. Its predecessor investment vehicle, Lime Rock Partners I, held a final close in 1998 on $108m, all of which has been invested in a total of 12 energy companies. No details of terms and conditions of this latest fund have been disclosed. In 2001 the Lime Rock enlisted Monument Group to assist in raising the second vehicle, and commitments to the fund began in early 2002. Lime Rock II has received commitments from over 40 institutional investors, including leading endowments, foundations and pension funds. Lime Rock Partners II will specifically make investments in the oil and gas service, transportation and production industries in both the US and Western Europe.
