
Golding adds insurance expertise with hire for institutional clients team

Munich-headquartered alternative asset manager Golding Capital Partners has hired Tim Ickenroth to its institutional clients team, where he will focus on supporting insurance companies in Germany.
Ickenroth joined the firm in July, bringing experience from his past roles at UniCredit and BNP Paribas. He has previously advised a range of German and Austrian insurance companies, as well as company- and sector-based pension funds, according to a press release.
In his new role as director institutional clients, he will join a sales team led by Wiebke Kuhne who is head of institutional clients at Golding. Ickenroth said in the release that he will aim to contribute to Golding’s monitoring of the needs and wishes of investors as part of its flexible and customisable product offering.
Golding recently held a first close for its latest secondaries-focused vehicle, which is targeting EUR 500m and is expected to hold a final close next year, as reported.
The firm is also currently on the road for a new buyout co-investment vehicle, aiming to raise EUR 350m to target small- and mid-cap opportunities, as reported.
