DSM Venturing makes commitments to
DSM Venturing, the corporate venturing unit of Dutch company DSM, has participated in two venture capital funds. Investments in NGEN II and Life Science Partners III (LSP III) will extend the company's window on innovation in industries of strategic importance to DSM, namely life sciences and performance materials.NGEN II focuses on mid- to later-stage venture investments mainly in US-based companies strong in materials science and active in areas of clean and sustainable technology, advanced materials and coatings, biomaterials and electronic materials.Marc Schueler, general manager of DSM Venturing, comments 'Fund investments are an effective way to create dealflow in aid of our investment process in promising start-up companies.'
