New Skies Satellites set to float on New York Stock Exchange
A registration statement relating to the initial public offering of New Skies Satellites Holdings Ltd's securities has been filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, but has not yet become effective. The news comes only a few months after the Blackstone Group took the company private for $965m. The group proposes to sell $350m in shares, and if the float is successful, it will receive a dividend of $93.5m. The remainder will go towards paying down debt.
