Gilde Biotechnology & Nutrition Fund

Gilde Biotechnology & Nutrition Fund has announced the appointment of Steven Powell as a director and partner. Powell, 42, has over 18 years experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. He joins the Gilde Biotechnology & Nutrition fund from KS Biomedix Holdings plc, a UK-based listed biopharmaceutical company. Powell started his career in research in 1985 with Beecham Pharmaceuticals. Subsequently, he held marketing, business development and senior management positions at Whatman, Radiometer, Chiroscience and Celsis International. He is a microbiology graduate with a PhD from the University of Aberdeen.
