Eagle Venture Partners realises Central Asian investments
Eagle Venture Partners (EVP), manager of four EBRD funds in Russia and Kazakhstan, has announced the sale of some of its holdings. Most recently, Ak-Nar, a Kazakh brewery, was sold to Baltic Beverages Holding, a joint venture between Carlsberg Breweries and Scottish & Newcastle. EVP has also sold its participations in Russian-based animal fodder producer BEZRK, and in Lipetski Khladokombinat, a producer of ice cream. On these three exits EVP has made a profit of 65% on a total invested amount of $8m. GIMV holds a 50% shareholding in Eagle Venture Partners
