AIC establishes first spin-off
The Antwerp Innovation Centre (AIC), which is owned by Anchis, GIMV, KBC, VIV and the University of Antwerp, has founded its first spin-off, OligoSense. The company was given start-up capital of Euro 410,000 from AIC, which invested Euro 260,000, the Institute for Microelectronics in Leuven, IMEC, and the company’s founders. OligoSense is developing an electronic nose that can, for example, be used to find food that has gone off.
