
AlpInvest and Lexington joint venture acquires interests of DPL
DPL Inc has announced that certain subsidiaries have entered into an agreement to sell the company's interests in 46 private equity funds, managed by 27 private equity firms, to AlpInvest/Lexington 2005, LLC. The deal is estimated to be in the region of $1.2bn. The purchase price will be adjusted for capital calls, which the buyer has assumed, and distributions after 30 June 2004. The sale does not include the public securities and cash previously held in the financial asset portfolio. The portfolio includes funds advised by leading private equity and venture capital groups in North America and Europe including KKR, Warburg Pincus, Newbridge Capital, CVC Capital Partners, Bridgepoint, American Industrial Partners, Fremont Partners, Freeman Spogli, The Shansby Group and Vestar Capital Partners.
