Blackstone frontrunner to buy stake in Telfort
Greenfield Capital is looking to sell a minority stake in Telfort, a Netherlands-based mobile phone operator, as part of its refinancing of the company. The sale is at an early-stage, but according to a source close to the deal, Blackstone Group is one of the frontrunners to buy the stake. In June, Blackstone purchased Dutch satellite firm New Skies Satellites for E780m. If it ties-up the Telfort deal, it would allow the company to provide services through telephones, cable and satellite distribution channels.
