Computec Media is the leading publisher in the segment of electronic entertainmentin Germany. Since its foundation in 1989, the company has established variousmagazine brands, which today form its core business. The flagship title introducedin 1992, PC Games, a market leading special interest title in the PC games segment,sells over 250,000 copies monthly. In all other gaming and entertainment segments,Computec Media aims to publish special titles providing its readers and advertisingclients with comprehensive coverage of entertainment industry products. Thecompany continuously aims to grow by widening its readership base from aspecialized to a larger audience. This is achieved by extending existing brands as wellas introducing new brands. In Q4 2004, Computec Media launched a new magazinetargeting a mass-market audience. The title, SFT (which stands for 'Spiele, Filme,Technik' or 'games, films, technology'), encompasses all segments. After a successfullaunch, the first issue sold 500.000 newsstand copies. In order to help finance thisinitiative, the management of Computec Media decided to issue further shares.
