BerchWood Partners LLC, a placement agent for private equity funds, has announced that Arianne Leuftink has joined the group in its new Amsterdam affiliate, BerchWood Partners BV. For the last five years Leuftink was a managing director with Wilshire Private Markets Group, where she established its European presence. She was involved with the private equity fund-of-funds and a separate account marketing effort to institutional investors in Europe. She was also responsible for sourcing, investing and monitoring over 15 European private equity and venture capital funds. Prior to Wilshire, she was an investment director with IBM Netherlands Pension Fund for seven years, where her responsibilities included building a diversified private equity portfolio of a large number of fund and fund-of-funds investments and the purchase and sale of secondary positions. Arianne will focus primarily on origination for the first few months and will also move into fund placement in Europe when the Dutch affiliate has been fully licensed by the regulatory authorities.
