GIMV and Capco in stategic partnership for e-finance investments
Bart Diels, executive manager at GIMV responsible for e-finance investments, comments: “The main drivers for GIMV for closing this partnership are the access to Capco’s knowledge base, its reputation in the financial services industry and the right of first refusal on the European investment opportunities received through the Capco network. This partnership will not only increase GIMV’s dealflow in this area but will also allow us to better support our portfolio companies. GIMV’s ICT department has considerable experience with investments in the e-finance space, such as Beyers & Partners (treasury and risk management software), Business International (banking and insurance solutions), CR2 (channel banking software), Europeloan (virtual mortgages bank), Europesave (virtual savings bank) and FICS (internet banking and regulatory reporting). Successful exits were realised through the merger of FICS into S1 and the trade sale of Beyers & Partners to XRT-CERG.â€
